How much does it cost?
The cost of each Ringtone download varies depending on the format. You will be notified of the cost prior to confirming your purchase each time you request a Ringtone. Prices are as follows:
- Tru-Tones: $4.95
- TXT Tones: $2.95
- Polyphonic: $3.50
- Monophonic: $1.95
How will I be charged?
If you are on a postpaid Telecom mobile plan then charges for these services will be billed to your Telecom mobile account, or to the Telecom account that your Telecom mobile charges are currently billed to under the heading of:
- Ringtones if you downloaded via the browser on your Telecom phone, or
- Text Services if you downloaded via a text message.
More things you should know
The Ringtones service is subject to the following:
- This service is only available to customers who have a Telecom mobile phone capable of supporting Ringtones and currently connected to the Telecom mobile network. Downloadable Ringtones are not supported by all our mobile phones. Phones that are capable of downloading Ringtones are listed in the Ringtone Jukebox. For more information please click on the phone you are interested in.
- You will incur a charge for each Ringtone you request to download. If, for any reason, you request a download but the Ringtone is unable to be downloaded to your phone, you will still incur the charge.
- This service is only available when you have mobile network coverage to receive calls and data.
- You are not permitted to send Ringtones to another person. This will infringe on both our rights and the intellectual property rights of the composer.
You must maintain a positive credit balance in order to use our mobile data services. Examples of our mobile data services are downloading a Ringtone, using Xtra Mobile Services, surfing the internet via WAP, watching Video Clips or sending photo and video messages. If you do not have a positive credit balance on your phone and/or sufficient funds at the start of a chargeable transaction to enable you to complete the transaction, your mobile phone will be barred from using all data services until you top up. Please note, this includes being barred from our free promotional data services (that are offered by Telecom from time to time) until you top up.
